BOOKING POLICIES

Booking Deposit

All treatments one hour or longer will require a non refundable $50 deposit at time of booking.
You may cancel, reschedule or amend your appointment up to 48 hours prior to your appointment time via our online booking platform Ovatu (we recommend downloading the phone app here) or by contacting us directly via phone, email or instagram DM. All reminder emails and messages will be sent 72 hours (3 days) before the time of appointment allowing ample time for any adjustments if necessary.


Cancellations

Late reschedules or cancellations within a 48-hour window will incur a 50% late cancellation fee.

Late reschedules or cancellations within a 24-hour window will incur a 100% late cancellation fee.

Please keep in mind that these policies are not personal, and they are in place to protect our small business so we can continue to service you well into the future.


We reserve the right to refuse to provide the treatment

We will refuse treatment under the following situations, and the full fee will apply if you have not disclosed prior to your booking time;

  • botox or filler within 14 days prior to skin treatment or facial waxing

  • sunburn within 2 weeks prior to skin treatment or waxing treatment (face or body)

  • if we deem the treatment will cause harm due to extenuating factors

  • if you have been on a new/ undisclosed medication at the time of treatment that will impact the skin or change the way it would generally behave

  • topical steroid, prescription vitamin A, prescription topical acne treatment (eg EpiDuo) within 7 days of facial waxing

Canvas Skin Co. is not liable for any adverse responses caused by undisclosed, relevant, and recent history. We will endeavour to always ensure the safety of you and your skin, as we want only the best for our clients. Your cooperation is appreciated in these instances, as these measures are in place for the safety of our clients.


Memberships

For membership bookings - cancellations, no shows, or late reschedules (within 24 hours) will forfeit that session from your monthly membership schedule until the next cycle.


Pricing and services

Our prices and services are subject to change at any time at our discretion.


Inclusivity and a safe space

Canvas Skin Co. prides itself on being a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all clients and staff. We will not tolerate rude or abusive language or behaviour toward staff or other clients or any discrimination based on race, gender, age, ability, or sexuality.

Any of the behaviours mentioned above will result in a permanent ban and immediate stopping of treatment.

We are an LGBTQIA+ and neuro-affirming salon.


Male clients

Unfortunately, we do not have the training or insurance for male intimate waxing and provide only AFAB intimate waxing. We currently only accept online bookings from pre-existing male clients or direct referrals from existing clients. This is to maintain the safety of current clients and our staff. We can recommend safe spaces for all clients who are seeing treatment.
